Hello everyone who hasn't unsubscribed =)
A few days ago, I sent out my latest (short) newsletter. But my mail server went rogue and sent 7 copies of the same email to everyone 😩
This is what happens when you learn by doing 🙃 I migrated my blog to a self-hosted installation, set up a new mailing server from scratch (using AWS).
Due to a minor issue in the configuration, Ghost was retrying to send the whole campaign because AWS wasn't returning a response fast enough. So, Ghost thought the sending failed and kept retrying blasting emails seven times before I stopped this madness.
Such a stupid mistake, and I sincerely apologize.
The problem is fixed now and should not repeat in future, thanks to Claude.
