🎬 Starting a new project

After weeks of procrastinating and pondering the future, I decided what to work on next – an AI news aggregator. Here is what went through my head...

Thinking about the future 🔮

I've been thinking about the future of entrepreneurship a lot recently. AI will change a lot. I used Chatgpt and Claude as my advisors, trying to clarify what the future holds.

It's all speculation at this point, but 1 key truth I believe in - anyone will be able to create their own content and software almost for free. This means there will be millions of AI-generated/assisted articles, music, videos, podcasts, and apps.

Content Abundance → Attention, Trust, and Meaning Scarcity

Overload & fatigue	Infinite content = cognitive overwhelm, decision fatigue
Loss of trust	AI makes it easy to fake authority, testimonials, images, even people
Noise > signal	Harder to find what’s actually helpful, insightful, or real
Personal identity confusion	Constant performance and algorithmic optimization fragments real identity
Social fragmentation	Filter bubbles + hyper-niche content communities → less shared reality
Discovery friction	Finding what’s relevant to you becomes harder even with recommendations
Manipulation & scams	Sophisticated fakes will fool even smart people more often

To be honest, these are not new problems. We've seen this happening already since the invention of social media. Now, imagine they will be amplified 100-1000x. How will this change how we consume information online? 🤯

Startups updates

"AI Tools for UX Designers"

After losing traction and not getting enough signups, I decided to shut it down.

All pre-payments were returned. I still believe this need will be growing and may revisit this idea from a different angle. Perhaps, the chosen format was not right.

Initially, I thought that I'd just start creating free educational videos on this topic. This would help me learn this topic myself. However, I have been seeing a greater variety of content online. Some are pretty decent. Not sure I want to become just another voice in this "ocean of information".

To summarize, still interested in this and believe learning this will be required to stay relevant as a UX designer. But the format is TBD.

AI news aggregator (working name "News Butler")

Not to bore you with my long thinking process, this time I decided to try solving my own problem that will get worse in future (see my predictions above) - information overload.

The plan is to use AI tools to help me create this product and start monetizing it afterward. I want to use this more as a learning opportunity for myself to experiment and practice building with AI. I believe this will be a very important skill in future.

Ideal outcome: learn how to build apps with AI, manage to successfully build it, and monetize it.

If I can't monetize it, but find a good use for it myself (assuming I can build it =), still a win. At the bare minimum, this would be a great learning by practice experience, which is already super valuable.

If all goes as planned, the next step is to adapt for business use. If so, I'll approach this with the "Lean Startup" mentality and document the process.
