Week 3 Review: Remote UX Jobs, Companies, Tips.

Hello friends!

Welcome to the first UX Remotely Week Review. For now, I am starting with the high-level overview of the jobs added in the last week and the total number, 3 featured jobs, 3 featured companies who hire designers and allow remote work, and 1 tip on how to make your remote work better.

Of course, I have a lot of ideas and will be experimenting in future. However, I always welcome your feedback, reply to this email and let me know if you find value in these emails or not, what else you want to see in these, etc. I am all ears 😎

Also, I clarified the current benefits for paid and free subscribers:

Paid Subscribers Get:

  • A daily/bi-daily email with all newly added job postings.
  • Unlimited access to the Ultimate List.

Free Subscribers Get:

  • A daily/bi-daily email with three newly added job postings.
  • Limited access to the Ultimate List.

PS I am working on a new format for this Ultimate List, just listing everything on 1 webpage has become too inefficient very quickly. It takes more and more time to maintain it, and want to add the ability to filter, sort, etc. The current format doesn’t allow these things, at all, which impacts the usability 😉 I am working on it…

Remote work tip

One of my favorite ways to build those connections with my last team was the "Friday Music" thread on our team Slack Channel.

Here's how it worked: Every Friday, I'd kick off a Slack thread inviting everyone to suggest one song they'd been listening to a lot over the last week. Then, I would compile these suggestions into a team-specific Spotify playlist and share the link with the team. I would add new songs to this playlist weekly and reshare the link. Over time, we built out a solid playlist with music from multiple genres and origins across the globe.
